F30 335D delivery dates slipping

Gave a colleague a lift to the railway station following a meeting today. He hadn't seen the new car and, as it's de-badged, he couldn't tell readily what it was before he got in. He was being complimentary about the interior (which I have to say is a big step forward in terms of quality over the E9x) but then he said "so you've stuck with petrol then"; he was suitably surprised (and impressed) when I told him the nice growl to which he was referring was being made by a diesel! Given he drives a C350 Cdi Mercedes I think it's testament to just how good the 335d is in the refinement stakes; personally I still don't think it's at the level of the N55 petrol in that regard but by diesel standards it's one seriously good motor and does work very well with the 8-speed auto. So not a sports car but really quite liking it - must be getting old!
+1 that was my first impression. It's not a petrol v6 sound but definitely not a clatterly old diesel sound.Anyway back on topic - the stealer is still quoting week 46 from original week 31

has anyone moved to that m sport design package or are you all holding out for the new brakes arriving.
You wouldn't think it would be that hard to get a new brake partner.
I wonder if its the disk or the pads or the callipers that are causing the issue.
Brembo callipers are the issue I believe You wouldn't think it would be that hard to get a new brake partner.

Hi everyone. Just a quick thanks to all who posted on this thread- it gave me information quicker than my dealer could.
I ordered a 335d xdrive in Estoril Blue with the Performance bodykit in the 3rd week of August with initial delivery estimated to be end of september. This rapidly slipped to possibly december within 2 weeks. I was offered the option of deleting the problematic m-brakes but stuck with it and now have been informed it will be ready about mid to late November.

Interesting. I have a 330d GT Xdrive M Sport Plus (longest name for a car ever) on order and was told a few days ago that although it was expected in the deal this week, it's now expected in December. Hopefully mine will move forward too based on your news. Mine was ordered August 7th. Not sure if mine will be on the same line as yours though.I ordered a 335d xdrive in Estoril Blue with the Performance bodykit in the 3rd week of August with initial delivery estimated to be end of september. Hello tjees did your dealer tell you if your dates had remained week 46? I've been given the same delivery week! I was keeping my fingers crossed for next week delivery but guess not!!
Yes, the build has been locked down and production week has remained at week 46. Additionally the previous two with big brakes have remained the same dates in Novembertjlees said:

Good to know, it was the brakes on the m-sport plus pack that had caused the delay to my 330d!! Excited know... Thank you! My car is due end of this month, fingers crossed (428i Gran Coupe).
I was given the option of losing the M Sport brakes, but didn't feel it was right to have to compromise when paying so much money.
Dealer has agreed a loan car to cover the (hopefully small period) between my Merc going back, and picking up the new one.
I'm a bit excited...

I hate to say this but for me the M sport brakes aren't all of that, no better in feel or action than any other car I've had and no where as good as the M3's brakes (and they get panned for being rubbish)
I would say they are the most disappointing aspect of the car in that they do what brakes should do but offer nothing in the way of "sportiness" e.g. firm pedal, short travel, easy to modulate etc..
So not really worth waiting for.
