Hello tjees did your dealer tell you if your dates had remained week 46? I've been given the same delivery week! I was keeping my fingers crossed for next week delivery but guess not!!
Yes, the build has been locked down and production week has remained at week 46. Additionally the previous two with big brakes have remained the same dates in Novemberok mine's gone from pre-assemble to on the ship in the last four days!!! I think the BMW status is lagging well behind reality. Last build date was week 46 with a delivery date in week 49.
The dealer did say it would probably come forward. Pity it couldn't of been delivered two weeksago, since I had to hire a car for two days to trailer my car to the garage

My 428i gran Coupe has gone from week 38, to 48 and now to 52! If it carries on at this rate, I'll be saving it to be on a 15 plate!
Not that bothered really though, not really the sort of weather to be enjoying a new car in anyway.
Opposite for me - I need the xdrive for winter! However, yours will probably have some minor updates as a bonus. Not that bothered really though, not really the sort of weather to be enjoying a new car in anyway.
Mines now the stealer ready for pickup.
However a word of warning, the pcp finance quote, due to the long wait, has expired. with the new quote, the final value has gone down by £200+ resulting in the monthlies increasing by around a Tenner.
So if you are waiting longer than 90 days, get your finance quote re-validated otherwise you maybe down by £200+

I did it's no ones fault but I seem to be paying for it war dance thing. But BMW finance would not budge since the small says they can do what the hell they like.
For those who are have waited a long time and are picking up this week - check the finance deal before you go, and try and squeeze out a goodwill gesture if it's changed.
Luckily I'm old school so I've actually got the money in the bank before buying ( thanks Dad for that piece of advice ) so I may go down there tomorrow and just pay - fk there little finance tricks, since when I mentioned the £500 rebate on the pcp finance for previously owning a bmer I was met with silence
Or dump the deal, since I had the presence of mind to write the apr, rebate and final car value into the order. There are some cracking secondhand cars out there. Having had the f34 loaner with folding mirrors and reversing camera, I quite fancy a f31 estate car. I've just found a fully loaded one for £31k secondhand.
What do you people think??????

Wills2, not quite - it's a secondhand year old f31 330d with 16k on the clock, but it does have the M+ pack, electric seats, towbar, reversing camera, service pack etc etc. - a £49k+ build and probably cost £38k to buy through DTD.
AUC are expensive and you have to look towards Indy and the private to find out the true value.
Also looked at the 320d xdrive secondhand prices, given that the f34 2l loaner showed me how effortlessly it could overtake 2 cars on a B road.
I think I need to sleep on this, since BMW finance have really wound me up. The f30/f31 are cracking cars and do want one, especially since I've just made up a set of 400m alloy conti winters in readiness.

OK decided to collect and pay for the F30 outright to avoid the extra £250 and £4600+ of interest payments!
Wow! adaptive and 35/40 profile tyres transform the handling - i'm actually getting some feel and feedback. The F34 was good but tended to wallow and understeer if really pushed. Steering was definitely well isolated in comparison.
Anyway here is a picture of the those damn M brakes (part way through putting 18" winters on!)

Right, so the car has been built and it on the way to port of exit. It's been agreed that I can pick it up from the supplying dealer once it lands - I'm guessing end of next week I suppose?
Depending on their agreement. Mine PDIed the car at port and it was available three days later.Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
