The front bumper on my 645 needs a respray so I was thinking about changing to an M6 bumper. Are BMW funny about selling M parts for attachment to non M vehicles?

Can't you go to the service desk at BMW and ask them?

LOL, I'm sure they would be more than happy to sell you some M badges to go along with it!

I personally don't think they would but if they did im sure the price would be daft. I got a quote for a replacement 630i bumper and for a bare bumper no grills it was coming up around £800.best bet would be to keep an eye on ebay for a genuine bumper or buy one of the replica bumpers available on ebay

Wasn't there a thread about BMW wanting M car reg number when buying M3 etc parts, or did I dream that?!

I've heard that with CSL bits but I've never had to quote any VIN numbers to get 'normal' M parts from the dealer.

Sometimes it helps to have the VIN to find the right part but that's just if your'e struggling to figure out what you need.

This is correct.

If you wanted to order CSL parts you had to provide a VIN. Other M products, not the case.
