Oxford Green metallic with tan leather. 6 speed 230bhp, Manual. 136,000 miles but very well maintained.
Pistonheads is a small world - That is my old car! Glad to hear it is still going strong, hope it hasn't given you too much trouble? I actually drove past you earlier this summer waiting in the Studland Bay ferry queue! It was pretty much my perfect spec, I do sometimes regret not holding onto it for a bit longer.

Matt N - Hope my old saloon is going well? The M135i is great, very pleased with it, but in a strange way I do actually miss having something to tinker with! I now regularly find myself in the classifieds looking for a bit of project, the problem is I don't know what I want.......

Yeh it's been pretty well behaved, had a sticky NSF caliper that I replaced in May / June and then a few weeks ago both rear window regulators broke but nothing major!

Hi – I've got a facelift, manual, Sport Touring E46 325i, silver, heated black leather, Xenons, auto wipers - looking to sell it. I can email some pics if anyone is interested? It was run as a long termer in BMWCar magazine for a couple of years when I worked on the mag. Completely standard other than Evolve re-map, made a whisker over 200bhp on Evolve's rolling road.

Front arches need doing, but it will come with a year MoT...

It's tempting, but I'd really like to hold out for a 330. Same goes for the other chap with the LPG, tempting, but not quite what I'm after.

I have a 2004 Silbergrau E46 330i Touring on a 53 plate.

It's the more desirable 6 speed manual, with sport spec, black leather (manual) seats, MV2 staggered wheels, and it's just an absolute peach to drive - the exhaust note makes this car! It's got the Harman Kardon speaker upgrade too.

It's covered 144k and has a fully stamped service book (BMW North Oxford Garage Ltd) plus in my ownership it's been to the highly regarded Grosvenor Motor Company Ltd - independent BMW specialists in Reading. I asked Grosvenor to give it a full service when I bought it, mainly to put my mind at rest, so the next due is an oil service in around 12k.

It's wearing Falken tyres (452s I believe), which have covered less than 6,000 miles. I'm the third owner from new, the first being Lloyds TSB and the 2nd owner had it from 2006.

Assuming it has a year's tax & MOT what do you guys think it's worth?

As the OP said, 6 speed manual petrol tourings aren't the most common car for sale, and when they do come up there's such a huge variance in price.

Nice colour, miles might be on the high side for some, any other recent significant works, cooling system, suspension, clutch etc? What is the bodywork like, any signs of rust yet?

My thoughts would be approx £3.5k as thery are a desirable combination.

It's a 10 years old E46 - of course it's got rust! wink One of the front wings is worse than the other but I'm looking at quotes to get them sorted. Apart from that the bodywork is in good condition.

Perished brake lines (front-to-rear) were addressed when it was serviced last, as were some of the usual front suspension components. The cooling system was checked but raised no concerns so mechanically it's sound, and everyone knows these engines can go on forever!

Is there anything you can realistically do to sort-out the E46 wing/wheelarch rust issues once and for all?

The big engine tourings are rare in every BMW model. I used to have a manual 330i saloon, loved it. Recently looked at getting a 330i Touring, gave up finding a manual, so looked at some autos, which are lovely too. Ended up in a 540i Auto Saloon in the end. If you want stick at it, be worth it in the end.

I've put finding my ideal 330Ci on hold for now (I wanted to change cars ASAP) and have actually just picked-up a Mini JCW (R56; one of the few FWD cars that I like) today! woohoo

Bought a silver manual 330i a few months ago, first one is seen as usual.

Only tourer for sale at the time, cheap with only 172K on the clock.

Couple of extras. More importantly it has red seats!!!! smile

As others have said it sounds amazing (esp with the parcel cover open), mind you coming from a 306 d turbo and an Octavia vrs most things do.

An update on the front wings - BMW have agreed to replace them under the 12 year corrosion warranty so it's going into the bodyshop in early December.

The car was registered very early in 2004 - had it been a couple of weeks beforehand it wouldn't have qualified, so I think I've been extremely fortunate. Fingers crossed they do a good job! It's a double-bonus really because some of the quotes I got were not insignificant.
