Hi everyone I've been wanting a bmw 3 series e90 convertible m sport in white for a long time. Yes I know it's a specific model but I'm very fussy. I just wanted to get some opinions from people who obviously know their stuff. I'm going to see one today, alpine white with black bmw alloys, black wing mirrors and black grill and just wondered on what peoples take is on he white with black? The last thing I want is to buy one then regret it, I know you can change these things but would rather buy one with everything done really. I have included a picture of the car I'm seeing later. I know I'm a girl etc but I love cars and have owned a new civic type r so wanted something a bit more grown up biggrin

Nothing wrong with those colours but from the picture it looks like the front windows might be tinted. If they are they're probably illegal.

Ah here's another pic, the back windows are tinted and im not sure if it's just the angle of the light.

Wow yours looks amazing, ok I'm more persuaded now! I wanted something that looked a bit different to the normal standard factory look, I know this look is also quite common but I think it gives it something a bit different smile

Hi Nat, welcome to PH.

I do like the white and black look on certain cars, and think it suits the 3 series very well.

Where is the one you have seen located?

Hi, a few weeks ago my wife test drove a 1 and 3 series convertible and after the test drive she preferred the 1 series (although she always liked the 1 series beforehand) so we managed to track one down in the spec she wanted (I'm an ex BMW mechanic so knew what I was looking at). We have had it about a month now and have been really impressed with it. I am particularly impressed with the handling as it feels really nimble. PS the 3 series is a lot longer than the 1 series so consider this too. We had to only because I needed it to leave enough room in the garage to fit my motorbike in front. Good luck on your search!!

Hi , I bought a e93 m sport 3 series 4 weeks ago . It's my third bmw 3 series convertible , but my first with a tin roof . I love it . Mines in silver though not white . It has the 19's on it also and the ride won't be to everyone's taste but I like a firm ride. What's the engine and spec on this white one ?

Thanks for all your replies, it's a 320i m sport petrol manual, I can't justify A bigger engine as I just don't need it and don't travel too far for work etc. are there any concerns regarding the convertible roof or are they pretty sound?

Ok so I've bought the at get it in a week or so! I just wondered regarding the headlights looking yellow is there a way of changing them to look whiter or do you have to get a newer model with the xenon?

Hmm a convertible 320i with the emphasis on M-sport... I'm surprised the lynch mob here hasn't turned up yet smile

A convertible needs a nice sounding engine, get the 330i which isn't that much worse on fuel but much better engine.

Pretty sure you can get different halo bulbs to make them whiter.

Haha I know but I really don't need a bigger engine! I've already bought it now, I will see how it does fuel economy wise...

Looks nice , it's two cars rolled into one . Hope you get some nice weather to enjoy the top down and I recommend a wind deflector if you haven't one .

Nice choice, you'll love the convertible, just hope you get some good weather before autumn rolls in. I bought mine in January and love having the roof down, I went for the 330i which does sound great as well.

I can't see which wheels you've got on yours, if you've got the 19" MV4 or 313's then keep an eye out for them cracking, I had mine back in with BMW last month for a cracked wheel, I got it replaced free of charge luckily but it would have been expensive if bmw had have knocked me back.

Its very nice - I was tempted by those colours for my new BMW (E93 330d M-Sport Cab), but went black with cream interior instead.
