Hi all,

I've got a new 640d arriving in December which will sadly replace my much loved C63.

Can anyone tell me about the decent tuning options for the N57D30T1 engine?

I am happy to take a piggy back as I've used them before without issue.

I don't want the cheap and nasty £100 options.

I've been looking at AC Schnitzer, Kelleners and Hartge but I really don't get the £2k+ price.

Has anyone got any experience of the JB Diesel http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_JBD_diesel_perform... or Superchips option for the car?

I'm really struggling to find an option for the 313hp version of the engine.

Thanks

Have a 640d and looked at a few options but unclear if the mod can be identified at service intervals?

Cheers

The independent tuners haven't cracked the ecu so remaps aren't possible. The only options I've seen are replacement ecu which only seem to be available from traditional and probably trusted tuners, but at the cost you mention. It would be nice if there was an easier and cheaper option

Most modifications invalidate warranty.

Usually the high price of the likes of AC Schnitzer is because they provide a third party warranty to cover the car where the factory warranty would not due to the modification.

It absolutely works with a Stage 1 remap from Celtic Tuning. I have a 2014 335d xdrive touring with lowered ACS springs and full M-adaptive suspension. It pushes 400 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, kills an M3 and an M4 and I'm still getting 34 mpg !!!

Had it done 4 months back and it is absolutely superb, totally transformed the car which is now a monster.
