Hi all,

Just a quick question regards getting a warranty quote off the bmw warranty website. Every time I put my reg in, it keeps telling its the wrong reg.

I tried a reg from a car off ebay and got the same answer.

Anybody else had any problems? Tried call them but there closed.

Are the cars you are trying over 3 years old? They may still be on factory warranty?
They might be already insured with BMW Warranty and not showing for that reason?

I use the site to get VIN numbers of cars I am interested in, which I then insert into BMW Archive to get the car's exact build specification. Not every reg plate is accepted, one for example because the car was originally on a different personal plate. The others because they currently had warranties.

Our car is 57 reg with no warranty and i am considering a e60 m5 as a weekender but want to look at warranties before i get one.

The m5 i tried was a 06 with no warranty.

If you want an idea before Monday can you find another 06 M5 for sale and then put that registration in with the mileage of the one you are interested in?

I've tried several warranty quotes, for different cars of the same model, and the quotes have been the same ; actually there has been some mileage and age variation.
