Hi,

Just upgraded to an iPhone 6 so my old Y cable is surplus to requirements. It's not the BMW one but a cheap OEM copy, but it works in my F34 perfectly with an iPhone 4S - allows track selection etc.

Anyone want it? Drop me your details and I'll shove it in the post.

Cheers,

Alasdair

Nice offer, someone will be pleased.

Also makes a great line out cable into a stereo, much better sound than the variable out from the headphone socket.

Alasdair, out of interest what cable are you using to connect your iphone 6 ? I will be needing to hook mine up to the USB port on my e93 - not done it before !

thanks

I had to buy the genuine BMW Y cable as the only OEM ones I could find online had mixed to negative reviews. Depending on what media setup you have, you might be able to get away with a Lightning cable, or you may need a Y - there's an article at http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=... which you might find useful.

Unfortunately I've only got the cheap radio / no nav, so had to get the full cable.

Hi, do you still have the cable going spare? Mine just died this morning which is pretty annoying as it was an original and cost me around £48 if i remember correctly. I have an iphone 5 but also have the adapter to convert to the correct connector. Thanks! :-)

Thanks Alasdair, top bloke! Did you get my details last night? I had to use a different email address as the one linked to my PH account won't send from my iphone for some reason. Maybe it's time to upgrade!

Not sure if it's worth mentioning but when I moved to an iPhone 5S I was about to get rid of my old 30 pin cable when I found this. It converts the 30 pin socket into a bluetooth device so now i can just stream wirelessly.

The quality isn't amazing but is decent enough, it doesn't let you skip tracks etc from the steering wheel but I believe some of the more expensive versions do.
