radio mute?

I very rarely use the radio in my car, F11 520 Touring, which is just as well, it does not seem to mute automatically when the navigation system speaks instructions, how crap is this on a £30k + car?

Mine does. But no idea why yours doesn't.

Mine does, and if would suggest you read the manual because I am pretty sure it tells you how to set it so.

Yes, almost certain it does as I recall reading something similar in my 7 series. Can't imagine they'd have changed it.

I don't seem to be able to find anything in the handbook, I trying to imagine why it would be anything other than default setting why would anyone at anytime want to have the spoken instructions masked by music?

Having looked online it looks like it may be a software update to not mute the radio, but simply dim it a little. So maybe there is no longer an option.... Stupid if that's the case


Best bet is to phone bmw.
