Hi all,

Have been looking and a 2002 E46 and it's got a service book with many BMW dealer stamps. I understand it's possible to ring BMW UK to trace when a car's been serviced by a dealership (so you can obtain said stamps). However has anyone had any luck or know if it's possible to get a printout of the work done?

Thanks

I did this once. It involved going to each dealer that had serviced the car, with the service book and simply getting a copy of the worksheet. This was some time ago and I'm not sure if BMW does this now. If the car has been serviced at the same dealer and it's local, that makes life easier.

I called BMW customer service and asked for the dates the car I was considering had been to a BMW Dealer, that's pretty much all they can tell you, and then phoned the dealers to check what dates they had recorded as the car coming in for having work done and then got the exact details of any work done; I also got the invoices (copies) to cross reference everything.

It was well worth doing this, where possible, because on another car I was considering I was told by the seller it had never had any warranty work done on it and I found out it had a major part replaced.

Thanks for the replies guys, think I'll check with the dealers on the blower about getting full records - seems it is possible!
