A mate and I changed the pads and sensors on my e92 m3 back in September, I reset the computer - all was fine, then when going around the Alps it triggered the brake warning even though the pads have plenty of wear left.

Tried resetting the computer, got mileage at ------ and the warning stayed on

Googled the problem, it seemed the recommended course of action was new brake wear sensors, so just replaced them all, tried resetting the computer, and same problem..

Displaying ----- for front and rear brakes, all the warnings on..

does anyone have any ideas or experience of this? Or is it an expensive trip to the garage?

Could it be the brake fluid change due? Have you tried the reset with all doors and bonnet closed?

No, it's definatley the brake pad warning.

Did try the reset on the computer as proven to work (from when I changed the brakes originally)
