Nice find smile ideally wanted an approved used car- as it comes with the warranty too. But that's just me being fussy. What's comprehensive warranty at bmw cost nowadays, 6/700 quid?

On a car with more than 60k miles its closer to a grand.

Manual diesel on a BMW between mid 2005 and mid 2011 is not great at best and horrible beyond belief in every one I have tried.

The clutch, or flywheel is not properly balanced and leads to judder, often not bad enough to feel but makes it feel heavy as you lift off, but often if so bad you can feel it judder.
The clutch delay valve just makes this worse.

If you have to buy a diesel buy an auto, so much better suited.

I've got an 07 525d in manual - smoothest car I've ever owned. Nothing wrong with the manual box, 1st gear is short (as with all diesels) but apart from that a good steer. Being a manual I got it 4k less than the equivalent auto.

But jump in a late 530d E39 manual, or a Z3 manual and you will notice a difference.

BMW were trying not to have t issue a recall, but if you asked them to put the revised flywheel on a car affected they did do it, through gritted teeth.

I had ours replaced on a 2010 X1, the difference was night and day, light, snappy clutch as BMWs of old.

I thought the manual box in my late 2006 e92 330d was fantastic and really suited the engine.

Nope, it really couldn't be smoother, not the slightest hint of judder and a lifetime away from "horrible beyond belief". Perhaps a previous owner had it rectified, because I can't believe anyone would have a valid complaint in my car.

I think the price leaves room for negotiation
It leaves no room at all as it's a Stratstone car - they price them at the lowest they possibly 'can' (hence the odd prices) and apparently negotiate no further according to a few of the salesmen when we used to have the car sales thread. As a result it always seems they are cheaper than anyone elses AUC.
I agree I traded my old M3 in at stratstone and I thought they would make a fortune on the car but they priced it a fair bit cheaper than other dealerships and I tried pushing on the price on the one I was buying and they didn't move a bit.

So I do think they price their cars very well versus other AUC dealerships.
