640d GC Discount

Was that £22k discount *and* 0% on the PCP? They were running deals like this towards Christmas last year, so its interesting to see them happening again.
To be honest I can't remember the overall deal in detail except the £22.4k discount. Everything for me was based around the monthly price and the lowest possible deposit. My overall deal looks as follows:Imola Red / Ivory White leather
4 year PCP
£3.5k deposit
£640 / month (spooky number)
Includes:
-5 years inclusive servicing (£475)
-Privacy glass (£375)
-20" alloys (£1200)
-Ski hatch (£245)
-Performance grills (£120)
-Lumbar support (£305)
-Reverse camera (£375)
My target price was £600 per month and I had to up to get the extras I wanted. I couldn't push it any harder than I did either!
I could have gone on forever with spec e.g. Harmon Kardon, HUD (not great with polarised sunglasses), sunroof, adaptive drive... but I couldn't see the sense of adding another £100 per month to the cost when you don't see any of that at the end. I'm a bit of a contract lease convert so you learn to find well specced cars as standard and try to add as little as possible!!

Still not finished trawling but the best offer is 599 a month, 4yrs, 3.5k deposit.
I imagine end of this month or even run up to xmas they'll look at just trying to move new stock on.
I'll hold out and see what comes up.
I was told to get this deal the car needed to be delivered by 31/12.I imagine end of this month or even run up to xmas they'll look at just trying to move new stock on.

However, that's usually trade BS to get me to buy the car to help with 2014 sales figures.
Though there is a facelift coming out next year so BMW might not be too keen to push cars close to that period.
If anyone is looking. There is a very low millage fairly new 640d m sport on the bmw used site up for 47k in silver but it's literally specced up with around 15-20 options. Most very very rare and desirable.
Just thought I'd give a heads up.
Quite sure the below could be had for 44k odd

Looks like an ex bmw car, maybe even a press car although they usually state that. I doubt it will hang around long and will go for nearer the 47k. This was exactly the sort of car I was after when I bought mine and I bought over the phoneJust thought I'd give a heads up.

The issue with that car is the finance package attached to it, when the OP has a budget he wants to hit as it's £800 a month over 48 months with a 3.5k deposit.
Nice spec though but an APR of nearly 10% is madness.
True, but once you start ticking boxes the monthly's on the new cars start going up quickly. Therefore its worth looking at the pre-reg's/AUC cars if you want spec and either have the cash/can arrange alternative finance (or maybe even at 10%, given the options have been completely written off already).Nice spec though but an APR of nearly 10% is madness.

I had the same issues when getting my 335d xdrive the dealer had lots of low miles 640ds with lovely specs but the finance quotes just didn't stack up, the AUC car works if you're paying cash or can access low rate finance elsewhere. (to be honest I'm not sure why I didn't do that myself!) Wills2 said:

When I got the 6GC there were none of these 0% offers available. I ended up with a pre-reg with £20k worth of spec (HUD, LED headlights, Sunroof, trick suspension, comfort seats, etc, ........... soft close doors which the wife wanted). I got a third off but had to use my own cash. Back then regardless of spec it was probably the best deal to be done if I wanted a GC (others with much less spec were still similarly priced and no finance offers or discounts on factory orders). The standard spec is actually pretty decent, so I can see why many don't tick any boxes on the 6 and make good use of the current 0% offers. I'd like to think I would be one of them if buying now. But I suspect my car buying "logical" thinking brain would kick in. Where I start thinking "well I'm throwing away £600/£700/etc (whatever it may be) a month, either realise this is a stupid thing to do and don't buy the car or accept its a bad decision but at least get the spec you want".

OOOO!!! That cars no longer available!
Did someone on here buy it!??
I said it wouldn't hang around. Big spec cars like that sell fast. Did someone on here buy it!??
I guess I can understand it was an amazing spec. I really don't think there was much else you could add except for B&O sound; that was the only thing I couldn't see.

I suspect I'll get the opposite advice from dealers when I go to switch mine out. "I'm sorry sir but these big spec cars are really hard to sell, so we can only offer you 2p and a cup of tea" Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
