Cooper teesside had 2 640d GC a week ago, both 14 plate both for 47k, both had stickers saying they listed at 74k and therefore they were 27k off (but slightly used)
It would depend on spec to say whether this is a deal or not. As previously mentioned if you need finance, a new car is likley to bring lower costs plus full warranty etc.

My new car (due December) listed at £70,805 and I got it for £48,405.

I now have the option of 2 cars after a saturday shopping with both hitting budget.

Alpine white with black interior
or
carbon black with ivory interior

Anyone have experience of Ivory and how good or bad it wears ? Im swaying towards a dark interior as I think itll get very grubby.

I've the ivory nappa - coming up to 50k miles and still looks good but then I don't have kids. I changed the mats for black ones.

How does the bottom of the doors and carpets particularly round the transmission tunnel look ? Ive agreed with the dealer on black mats but think the carpet round about it might still cop it.

It needs a good vacuum which is this afternoons job but this is what it looks like right now and with 49k miles on the clock and 30 months of use. I've included one of the seat although that one looks like there are some marks on the seat back, they're not, its just a trick of the light.

Not sure why its not included this one - this is the bit that gets the most marks on the hard plastic door strip

Also got Ivory and was very apprehensive having always played safe with black. Its held up surprisingly well. Jons pictures are very representative of wear from my experience (although I've only done 14k). The seats etc hold up very well with just the occasional wipe, the carpet doesn't cop much if any dirt. That sill is also the only place I get some scuff marks out of all the ivory trim/carpets.

Like Jon I had to get some black mats. I still use the standard ivory ones in summer, or when I have the black ones drying from shampoo/clean.The Ivory mats perform a bit better with some scotch guard "repellent shampoo", but in all honesty I only persist with them as they look very good :/ (one very wet day and they start screaming "clean me").

Which brings me neatly to the main reason I broke the black interior habit. The Ivory with the contrasting black leather dash and centre console looked so much better. Its the kind of thing you only normally see when specifying some sort of individual/premium interior options, but with the GC you get it standard. Unless you go for black, in which case everything is black :/

Having said all that we're due our first child in a few months so perhaps I'll regret going ivory :/

Wow thats a amazing deal, I assume that is not with the 0% finance or a new order?

I had a 640d in carbon with ivory interior on a 2 year lease. I went with black mats. The carbon is a perfect colour for the 6 coupe and I assume for a 6gc. The ivory seats get a bit grubby but clean with just water and they come up very well.

I have tabled the offers I have with other dealers south of the border (I'm in the Glasgow area) and they have told me to "bite their hand off" as they can't get anywhere near them.

I still can't settle on colours though.

That was my problem....

White - been there and done that for the last 4 cars
Carbon - ordered and cancelled as popular on the 6 but too easy to get swirls
Grey - too boring for me but suits the GC
Blue - not a great metallic blue, San Marino and Tanzanite are way better
Brown - urgggghhhh
Silver - don't like silver cars too boring

So for me it was either individual or Imola Red.

I've gone Imola Red as 1) it's not that common and is a great red and 2) didn't want to pay for individual colours.

Fingers crossed I like it as I've not had a red car and love white!!

The deep sea blue is great!
But I agree with your assessment of the others.

Agree I like deep sea blue too, its always personal choice with colours though and we all like different things.

I do like Imola but I think Tanzanite would be my favourite.

Space Grey on the 640d is lovely, shows of it's lines better than white or black smile.

I am in Glasgow too and this is the reason why my last 10 cars have all been from down south. 5 private and 5 dealer purchased cars.

Generally the spec's I want are more attainable down in England and secondly the prices are better. Up here they seem to want to take advatange if they have even one extra option on the dam car.

I remember last year I went to Mercedes Glasgow to look at a white C250 Sport with a Pano roof and they wouldn't budge 200 pounds off a 26k price because it was "popular white with Pano Roof" apparently I would never get one so cheap.
Went down south for a better spec car, white, pano roof for 22.5k. Ah well.

Funny thing is if you ever went to trade in such a car I am sure they would say well its a no cost option and so last season, knock off 5k; we will give you £5.50

£1,120 that you don't get back at resale, but it is a great colour.

Prefer this though:

Agree, was the best colour I saw on the GC. Unfortunately only found one car with that colour and it wasn't for suitable spec. Ended up with black which was my second favourite, don't like white at all and done silver a few times. One advantage of black if you have the sun roof is it blends in well, whereas on other colours it looks a bit odd with half the roof black :/
