Took a wander round my local BMW dealer the other day and had a poke about the 640d GC.

After a bit of googling online people are posting they have had discounts ranging from 11k to 20k off the list price.

BMW are running 0% finance on these at the moment. If my calcs are right a 69k car less 3.5k deposit and £20k discount is circa £550 a month over 4 years. based on a GFV of £19k (BMW Example lists this)

Seems like a good deal to me but only if you can get £20k off it.

Anyone have experience recently of heavily discounted GC's ??

I think 20k off the fairly basic spec is about the level that was on Drive The Deal until BMWs disappeared from the site recently. I expect that level is still possible.

Sytner have a few knocking about if you look on their http://demonstratorsonline.co.uk/ site, including a pre reg 64 plate and a few 14 plate cars. I expect they could get you one built to order at a similar price.

BMW tend to do near £20k only on rated finance.

When they do 0% the contributions drop.

Anyone know what to expect APR wise on a ex demo ? (used) 10% ???

I'll need to make a call I think to the local dealer and ask regards the 0% and max level of contribution, then do a bit of shopping around.

I was told on sunday by an AUC dealer that BMW stick to 10.8 APR now on used cars to be fair and consistent, not sure if completely true or just the usual sales patter though.

Ha! Fair and consistent, you mean to be expensive and insulting! hehe

That kind of APR makes the AUC cars too expensive to finance and then pushes you into a new one at 4.9% or even 0% on some models.

As far as the OP's deal with 20k off and 0% I can't see that being a deal they would want or be able to do.

Their App is showing £10.5k discount, with a £10k deposit it's still £615pm over 48. I'm sure you could improve on that, not sure you'll get down to the figures in the OP though.

Couldn't agree more! thumbup

Lets face it whether you go new or used when buying a BMW you get your pants pulled down either way and that's why they are so successful in the first place...we are now on our seventh BMW so we seem to enjoy getting turned over! hehe

We went new with our Audi but because of the miles we do we still lost an absolute fortune on it so it seems you can`t really win either way and we wont go new again that`s for sure.

Best offer so far is £630 a month, £3.5k deposit. My calcs show a circa £15k discount from list.

I'm trying to get to £550, which is circa £4k over the term. Asked them to absorb, let's see what happens next.

Was that £22k discount *and* 0% on the PCP? They were running deals like this towards Christmas last year, so its interesting to see them happening again.

Is that on a basic spec car? And are they offering 0% finance as well out of interest?

Seems that some very good deals have returned, I should have waited!

Basic car and 0%, Im reading others have achieved similar or better deals on cars with spec, generally showroom cars.

I think I'll call round another couple of dealers further a field.

Watching this with interest as 640d GC is also on my list of possible next cars and the budget you're aiming for is roughly what I'd be looking to achieve. I've also been looking at the next size class up - there seem to be some tasty deals available on the 7 series and Audi A8.
