Yes, avoid boy racer cars ! But make sure 325i is powerful enough for you; someone here in an earlier post cast some doubt on that, when you factor in extra weight of the convertible.

Your up early lol think 325 will be fine for my needs, what's it like in comparison to a e46 330 cab? I actually had a auto in the 330 was a nice cruiser very lazy when you drove like a granny but fairly decent off the mark when you drove like you stole it, I keep seeing 325 autos left right centre decent age and mileage and well within budget, the manual understandably are a lot rarer and harder to find

I have seen that black 335i cab before looks tempting but it's got the 4 exhaust pipes at the back which put me off it slighty, leads me to Beleive a boy racer sort has owned it before, looks very clean though. What was the owner like? Age group? The AUC 335i sport sold within days, someone got a real bargain there, unfortunately I don't think 335 is for me, I've gone from 320i to 325, now 325/330 and now 335 lol I'll be on a m3 next lol
Ah, didn't look at the expanded pics - automatic no no with those exhausts!

Yea and he's obviously changed that rear bumper to make it fit, which would be a lot of hassle just for an exhaust or maybe original rear bumper got hit and he thought might aswell pimp his ride while replacing- who knows lol I've heard a rumour that the e90's beginning with y in the reg are ex bmw company/fleet cars is that correct? I'e YF08 or YJ57- it's strange how so many coupes and convertibles I'm looking at begin with a y

Y simply means registered in Yorkshire, where there is a facility in Thorne that cars get shipped to from Germany.
A lot of BMW staff cars are registered there as opposed to normal fleet sales.
Similar to O prefixed Audis.
I wouldn't be wary of these.
Mine is a YB with the first owner private.

It's a contender, as there is nothing within your budget on the AU database. black and black is my favourite, would you miss nav? if other cars around that price have it, then I would use it to try chip a little off.

I did initially want the nav and manual as you know, also wanted the 19inch alloys forget what there called there more like the 5 series spider type alloys. the Le Mans blue one i liked is for 12,990 that has nav and is a manual but a year older on a '07' plate, rang the dealer last week he's said he would take 12,500 for it.!however this black one seems pretty mint, was bought from stratstone originally and has had 3 services with them then ended up at a Land Rover dealer in 2011/2012 serviced and sold by them, And the last 2 years it's been serviced twice full service just done by current dealer last week. It's actually up in Oldham at the mo but dealers said he's willing to get it transferred to a London branch if I put a deposit down. I'll be ringing dealers up tomorrow to confirm services and mileages. Not sure to be honest, I think for my budget, I can get all the extras I wanted. But I like the fact that I get a decent warranty with this one as its still a dealer warranty.

Sometimes you've just got to go for it. there must be costs involved in looking, for example travel, even HPI checks mount up plus depreciation if you are selling one of your current cars.
you probably thought of this, but get terms of deposit on an email i,.e that it is refundable if you chose not to proceed. and then go try smile

Yeah true, I've done a fair bit of driving around checking cars out, did Kent twice and back, Basingstoke on Saturday, car giant about 3 times, few local private ones too. Hpi checks I'm doing on the company mobile phone lol texting premium rate numbers, I better slow it down they will clock on if I keep doing it lol. This black ones seems to have budget tyres on I can't quite make out the brand in the pic.

Budget tyres mean you've probably got to add a set of new tyres to your costs. I had budget tyres, when I got my E46, too much sliding in the wet. I went mid range, Hankook. You probably don't need premium on a 325i but if they really are budget then I would want to get the price down.

Just one other thing the car is on motorparks website, however I first saw it advertised under a Vauxhall dealer, then a fiat and jeep dealer, and today when I asked could the vehicle be transported to a nearer dealer the guy said he could get it to a Honda dealer in Croydon? Who am I actually buying this vehicle off? Is it likely to be a goodun or just any old car that someone has part ex'ed, surely the dealers must of Checked it over before taking it in? The actual warranty there offering is with network q which I Beleive is Vauxhall? I'm confused

That's weird, are all these dealers owned by same company? Check it out with them or have a look on Companies House. You need to know pronto if you are leaving a deposit.
