More details of the spec would help if not a pic of the car and interior does help with us suggesting a sell price. £14k sounds rather expensive

Easy, find the cheapest one out there with the same spec. within 200 miles and beat the price if you want to sell it.

not that easy as will never find an exact spec car with same amounts of works done in my view that is
although see your point in pricing if its too cheap has the opposite effect. and if a dozen people wanted to sell using your principle.... the last car listed car would end up well undervalued lol good for buyers

Work done is largely irrelevant unless it's to cure a known fault or a major maintenance item. 'Putting it right' is lost cash I'm afraid.

Why is he selling it so soon? Is it a lemon?

I tend to agree with gizalroc, and exact spec is unnecessary but is it auto and does it hav nav for example ; just compare like for like in a broad sense. I took "work done" to be modifications, but if it is 1000£ on repairs and the car is a lemon, best place to advertise probably isn't in the classifieds here, in case customers read forums wink if not keen selling privately or you want quick offload you could put reg into WBAC see what they say. I've had two good experiences, above dealer offers and trade price.

work done was down to advisories on mot he wanted a spot on car for retirement many would live with a few advisories on the mot only the most particular of owners would spend out knowing the car the best it can be so far from a lemon many would live with an oi;l leak now sorted from cam cover, mny would live with a tyre close to limit, now top spec tyre fitted, many would live with boot struts being weakish, now both replaced. think you see where im coming from unfortunatly he doesnt have the choice to LIVE with any ....

WBAC plus 10-20% depending on what else is on the market and desperation to sell.

Or call Birds and see if they'll do SOR - they love a x35i.

As it is a sorted car, try privately here and go for 12250£ , although no harm in seeing what WBAC say. But if lower don't worry as they are driven by auction prices and some car types are not in demand there. I based price on looking at other cars available, and assuming decent spec on yours.

A main dealer had an 07 plate with 67k miles, good spec but without nav, up for 12995, a few weeks ago.
So 11k is probably a good shout.

Depends how quickly you want it sold too. December is not a great time to sell anything that isn't a Christmas present - I tend to advertise cars based on what other people are asking for something equivalent. If you want to sell it fast, knock about 5% off - if you want to sell it tomorrow, knock 20% off but that's no guarantee sadly.
