e30 325i - converting to manual from auto

I have a slight e30 addiction and don't need another car... but i've spotted an auto convertible that is pretty nice.

What's the ballpark cost for an Indy to convert to manual with good used parts?

Prohibitive I would guess. It's not a case of just swapping out the transmission, it's likely to need the entire driveline changing. Which means a donor car.

That's assuming there are no body differences between auto and manuals.

Plus wiring loom, clocks/dash, pedal box, slave cylinder etc. Its quite a lengthy job and I'd guess around £1000+ in labour alone.
