We had another topic about RFTs being more susceptible to punctures a while back and the consensus was that it was nothing other than an odd coincidence. My wife's E92 had a puncture almost every other month on RFTs but not a single one since moving to regular Conti's. As an aside, my father in law has a new 5 Series estate that has had a puncture in 6 of the 18 months that he's had it. On RFTs...

New to the forums here, just wanted to say I had a E90 BMW and had the same question. Went ahead and fitted non run flats had no issues whatsoever and honestly had a better drive after changing them.

Where the hell are your family using their cars? In a scrapyard?

I sold our March 08 Z4 in October. Never had a puncture in almost 7 years. RFTs

My F10 530D, new in March this year, has done 11000 miles. No punctures. RFTs.

My VW CC, sold in March this year after 4 years and 60,000 miles. No punctures. Non RFTs.

My 911S sold in July this year after 7 years and 23000 miles. 2 punctures. Non RFTs

Anecdotal, just like everyone else's stories.
