I went black with mine after sales manager said his oyster seats were an issue with jeans - bolster and seat marked blue. Comes off but is a pain.
If he buy's his jeans from Tesco they may well be. wink
Quite. I've got oyster and I've never had an issue with jeans turning them blue.

To be fair, I had a pair of new over dyed Replay jeans on that were brand new, and got caught in the rain in them, I was soaked when I got back in the car and they have left a mark, but it seemed to just wipe away.

You have to remember that modern car leather (anything in the last 20 years) is all spray painted anyway, so just treat it like any top coat, it may leave marks but it will soon wipe off.

Don't think you can with MSport spec.

You can in the configurator - there are four or five extras and they are somewhere in the region of £1200 extra.

I quite like the Beige and the browns available and I should think (or at least hope) the merino leather is much better.

If you try and select the 1200 pound ones on the right it says not with Msport

Edited to add: anything is better than standard leather which I struggle to believe actually comes from a cow.

My local dealer had an F30 335d M-Sport in their showroom last summer and it had both individual paint and an individual leather interior; apparently the customer had changed his mind about some aspect of the spec, BMW wouldn't let the dealer change the original order (something about longer lead times on individual options?) so the customer got the spec he wanted via a new order and the dealer ended-up with the original as a stock car! Very nice it was too and think they would have been open to offers to shift it; however, I wanted a Touring so sadly it was no good to me!

Yes, I'm with you on this as I think the sunroof makes the cabin a much nicer place to be (especially when you've got a black leather interior to go with the black headlining). However, given the extensive spec the Doc's chosen the additional cost of the sunroof's clearly not an issue and hence you've just got to assume he's not bothered about having one (which is fair enough, each to their own and all that!).

I prefer without a sunroof too and have an all black interior. I have had a few BMWs with them and they can become a source of rattles in my experience. Somehow a rattle from there is much more annoying than one from the dash or parcel shelf to me. It believe it also reduces the headroom a little.

My E53 X5 had perhaps 8 dealer visits to try and cure the sunroof rattles, including removing everything and re-welding I think, but they always came back.

I always thought a sunroof was a bit of a waste of time on a car with air-con or climate control but my M3 CS (bought second-hand) had one fitted and that changed my mind. It had no problems whatsoever in terms of rattles and certainly gave the interior a much nicer ambience with the blind pushed back; my E92 335i (again bought second-hand) didn't have a sunroof and, although the cabin wasn't too oppressive even with a black leather interior, I missed the sunroof from the M3. Prior to be buying my F31 I had a run in a couple of M-Sport demonstrators that didn't have a sunroof and that was enough to persuade me to tick the box for the panoramic roof even though I'd also opted for the Oyster interior. I suppose it's each to their own but personally I like natural light and hence don't really like dark interiors in a car; for the same reason I'm not keen on houses with small windows as they can often seem dark and dingy inside!

In agreement JNW ,in a way wish id never experienced sunroofs they are not cheap and make buying a a year old used version of what I want difficult, mind you the way finance is these days new cars are the way to go if you usually by nearly new.

Its like heated leather seats I now realise how cold the steering wheel actually is in this weather and never used to give it a thought!!

I've just tried and the individual interiors are definitely selectable with M-Sport - they do however appear 'greyed out' and unselectable, but don't let that stop you!

The greyed out had indeed put me off smile Not that I need to spend any more on the car.

As for sunroof. I haven't specced one in a car since you used to have get them put in after market (remember those days?).
And BMW pano roofs have a poor reputation (albeit not in the new 3 so far).

Yes I do remember those after-market pop-up things - my dad had one in an XR4i many moons ago! As per my earlier post, I considered a sunroof a total waste of money in a modern car with air-con but my M3 changed my perspective; that had black leather and a black headlining and the glass sunroof definitely improved the feel of the cabin. I've heard that panoramic roofs can have their problems but I've had no issues so far and the warranty will take care of anything that crops-up for the foreseeable future!

Cheers. I have decided - along with wife smile to go for my original plan.

Oyster, Aluminium hex with black pearl trim. Mineral grey paint - looks more manly than the Estoril

Merino leather is available and sometimes the BMW builder seems to be temperamental. I wasn't paying the £1200 for it though.
Excited now - just need shot of my A4 - hope it sells OK.
