Very very nice, you'll have to come back and let us know what you think when you've had a drive, love the look of the i8. That's the 1st white one I've seen, I'd only ever seen blue and black.

They look ok but £100k? Not so sure. Nothing stopping you ordering another is there?

Now, if it did have a big V6/8? That would be something.

I always try and reduce the fiscal pain by buying early doors in the hope that I guess right and the car I've chosen is a big hit.

With the i8 I was right but cancelled because I can't deal with small engines on principle. I've ordered an Alfieri instead so I'm hoping that is as good as it looks smile

the carbon fiber bodied i8 is powered by a 1.5 litre three-cylinder gasoline engine, producing 231 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, and an electric motor good for 131 hp and 184 lb-ft. Combined, the shoebox-sized powerplants are good for 326 hp and a 0 to 62 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

I saw my first on on the road last weekend (Black), and i have to say they look pretty stunning in the flesh - Much better than in the pictures.

NSX looks a better bet engine wise. Looks good too, and estimated circa £80k.

Agree and it just proves that the future certainly isn't going to be that bright...and one thing we all know for sure though is that we will all look back fondly in years to come about how great the old days were.

I respect the i8 for a fact but for me its just a good example of making the best of a bad job and that's the future we all have to look forward too.

Thanks everyone for the comments... Really happy with the white its a great colour and when its clean it has a real pearlecent look to it!

Right on to the driving of the car!

Firstly can i say i didn't pay for the car so my views are simply on driving it and living with it, not on cost which does seem to be causing some people problems!

Ok so getting in and out of it is not easy at all! I am a fairly big lad or (powerfully built) and i haven't been able to get in and out of it without looking like a tit!

see pic

once you got over this though and you get into the car its a really nice place to sit and it has some nice little extra details which can help people justify the price!

once out on the road the first thing i noticed is the weight, you can really tell its lighter than your average car. this also helps with the ride which i think is very good and due to the carbon tub feels very solid and nimble. I think it really does handle well but do agree with people its needs bigger tyres to be able to really throw it around. To be honest though due to my lack of driving skills i found it very fun and it seemed to go fast!biggrin

In town its great and you can feather it around in electric mode and feel quite the Greenpeace person.. But as soon as your out in the country its impossible to stay in electric only mode and you end up in Sports mode enjoying the petrol engine. even though the noise is passed through the speakers i don't care it still sounds great and the blips on the down change are addictive! This is coming from a family who have owned most of the M car range including v10s V8s etc.

The next thing to talk about is the amount of attention this car gets... its stupid you can drive around and you will get people coming up alongside filming and nearly crashing just to get pictures films etc. Now if i was single i would probably use this to my advantage but i'm not so if your shy don't get one for a few years!

Overall cost not taken into consideration this car is great, it's quick enough for me it handles well and its looks gorgeous. It will be the future so embrace it and go out and drive one you might be surprised!

ps. sorry for the shocking spelling etc i spent far to much time looking at cars at school then learning bounce

Don't these weigh about the same an M3 or M4?

Anyway, good write up. I hadn't realised how titchy they were inside, I've always seen them review by skinny small chaps and they make it look quite spacious.

I know this chaps presentation style and voice is a bit marmite but he does do a thorough review. Looks great
