e46 320i rocker cover gasket leaking............again.

had my local indy bmw specialist replace the rocker cover gasket back in august 2014 as there was a leak from the front offside corner, and the interior would smell like a refinery when i slowed down.

fast forward 6 months and it's started leaking again, and from the same place.

should the indy garage be fixing it for free? obviously it should have lasted way longer than it has, so am guessing at an inferior gasket being used or just a bad job.

He should do, all his work/parts should be warrantied for 12 months.

Or your CCV has failed causing crankcase over pressure.

Or the cam cover has warped like they all do & no manner of gasket change will fix the leak permanently.

ah ok - so it might be a different problem with a similar manifestation.

best get it diagnosed - although i really don't want to use the original garage again.
