Did you ask them if they coded it properly?
I was told it needed to be coded when new battery fitted (main dealer: Stratstone) so I assumed they had!
It's going back in for a replacement rear camera unit so will get them to check again

If the battery was replaced under warranty and it has not rectified it, then I would suggest an incorrect diagnosis by the dealer. It is their responsibility to find the fault, however complex it may be, and not just fob you off with a guess attempt at fixing it.

If BMW want to build cars that are that complex that their dealers are resorting to guesswork to fix them, then they need to rethink their technology or dealer back-up.

Overall though, I'm afraid we will still get back to my earlier posts that the car is not driven enough and the power draw is killing the battery. BMW call this the wrong "driver profile" and will blame you for not using the car according to recommendations. A REALLY bad state of affairs where you cannot use a large BMW in traffic, or leave it without a maintenance charger, but thats the way BMW are going.

Maybe soon, you will walk into a showroom , tell them how you use your car and they will tell you what car you can have, you just choose a colour?

He does 180 miles a day in it.

You have a module that is not going to sleep somwhere, they need to find it.

Easiest way is put a meter on and test the load, then start pulling fuses.
