Do you need the light its self, or have you got fault with it, try emailing people breaking z4's on eBay, they don't alway list every part.

Had similar...hit a pheasant in my E60...front cover was OK but one of the interior lenses fell off and the daytime running bulb failed...

BMW main dealer said new unit required...as its zenon and adaptive the light unit alone would be a grand (same as yours)!!! plus about 400 to fit.

second hand these are around 400 as well. so I fiddled...cant take the front cover off without melting the glue off (as per some German lad on you-tube) but found a way to get in through the bulb hole in the back and waggle a stick with strong glue into the right place and then shake the unit until the lens fell into place.
Plus changed the bulb whilst I was about it.

15 quid for torqx screw driver and 15 quid for the bulb from Halfords...and it works...a bit cheaper than 1400 from BMW

...and another thing 400 to fit!! its 4 bolts and took me 10 minutes to remove another 10 to re-fit...rant rant

Doesn't seem to be any UK based for sale but they are available as pairs from Germany for around £770 plus postage.

That is what I had to pay for my e61 adaptive xenon - I am very tight and looked for a number of ways to avoid paying this, but I could not find a way. A second hand unit came up on ebay a couple of months prior for £350 but I didn't buy it (as I didn't know I would need it) and I couldn't find anything else when I looked. Xenons, halogens are of course much cheaper but the adaptive unit is >£1k.

According to the garage, this has now become one of the tales they like to trot out when people ask "how much is it going to cost". Alongside the e-class wing mirror that costs £750.
