MOT Failure - Cracked RIm

So the MOT failed on my F12 640i as the nearside rear Rim is cracked - lovely! No doubt BMW will try to rape me with the cost so I am hoping to find an alternative source. Any ideas? 20" V-Spoke Bicolor 356.

Anyone have any recommendations?

First off get a quote from Cotswold BMW. They'll often do parts at decent discounted prices. I had the same on my E91 a few months back and opted for new wheel over getting it welded. Set me back just under £400 for an 18"

Cracked rim on an F12! Sad to see that BMW rims are still failing. Any chance of some goodwill from your dealer?

Will certainly call around. I have a fear that the rims have previously had scruff repairs and probably reached the final layer.

Goodwill? Not really sure it's a word in BMW vocabulary!!

It's 3 years old, be surprised if BMW will entertain it.

We've just been told our F07 has two cracked 20" rims... that'll be £1100 FFS.

For that money, I would tell the dealers to get stuffed and buy an aftermarket set of 4 for less money.

I've managed to get the rim and a set of 4 new RFTs for £1,600. Painful but what you gonna do?!
