Sorry about this but last few annoying questions biggrin

What kind of oil usage should I expect ?

What oil would owners recommend ?

What fuel , is Vmax or what ever its called worth the extra ?

And Thnks for all the help and advice thumbup
I've not needed to fill oil, since I've had mine (2009 N54 @67k) but when I put the license plate in Castrol's website it came back with the same recommendation as my E46

Castrol Edge Fluid Strength Technology 0W-30 4L Engine Oil

I would hope that @36k you won't be using much oil. No dipstick in 335i, so I check oil via I drive. Should be the same with your car.

No opinion on V/Max. On all cars I've used, always seemed to get less mpg from shell (when calculated manually) compared to BP which I stick with.

Roll on 1500hrs!!

One thing to consider, if it has Run flats, when the time comes and/or when you can afford, consider replacing. They do make the ride harsh and can risk damaging the rims. I didn't find that mine were as bad as the 'press' they get; but I am looking forward to putting the Michelin Pilot Super Sports on which I have ordered.

You know what that is a very good point and I am surprised after all the questions I have asked that has not dawned on me to take a look at heheto worried about pumps and turbos I guess hehe

And yes I know how bad run flats are after my 320 and 525 but after a pretty lengthy test drive I would be pretty certain that shes on normal type tyres as she was a pleasure to drive smile

Worth a check, hopefully you will have all 4 the same and a reasonable brand, don't want ditchfinders on a 335i even in the dry weather.
At your low mileage are you considering a BMW warranty? That should put your mind to rest over pumps and turbos.

Having non RFT does not affect BMW warranty and I have it in writing from Mondial (who provide the assistance) that they okay the change.

I would certainly look at a BMW warranty how much are they ? , it comes with a 1 year AA warranty , not sure how much that is worth scratchchin

Im pretty sure the way she drove its on normal tyres a really nice feel to the ride/handling
The tyres are good all round cant really believe I did not check if they were RF's and I guess my next batch of stupid questions will concern which replacement tyres are best stand by hehe

hehe

Stick the licence plate in this site and get a quote, I know price pushes up over 60k so you should be better off @ 36k. I have heard some suggest pay monthly as then price is fixed.

I believe any BMW warranty you buy will be subject to an excess, minimum £100, and for that reason {and the fact you can't claim within a month of purchase} the AA warranty could be of use, but although I had my warranty as part of a BMW AUC purchase, I researched warranties a lot when considering a 335i; and I think all I asked said get the BMW one. If you do have this AA warranty and decide to go for BMW warranty, maybe worth double checking the small print to make sure BMW will pay out in the event you have another warranty.

My replacement tyres will be Michelin Pilot Super Sports after a lot of research; Continental's premium equivalent (I think `sport contact 5) are also well thought of. I went mid range, Hankooks, on my E46 and they were good, but I felt with the extra power on offer I wanted to go premium and it wasn't much more.

The site never likes private plates, don't worry.

I prevaricated for 7 months and then saw the perfect colour combination on a Wednesday; made a deposit and then the following Monday I made a 360 mile round trip to thoroughly test drive and buy and collect there and then all within in a 4 and half hour window.

They even taxed it for me; at my cost, but necessary to do this immediately due to the new rules !! I had forgotten about that biggrin

Works ok with mine. I wonder if the car has to have history on that plate at a BMW dealer or something.

Excited for you OP.

Are you going to modify or keep standard? I've had mine for over 3 years now and have made a few subtle changes.

Can't you just leave the Audi with the dealer and get the part to them when it arrives? Or cancel the Audi part order and pay the dealer the price of the part?

Very, very frustrating, but the dealer has a sale so he's not going to worry about a day.

Does it have heated seats? In case your bum gets cold if the weather is worse tomorrow wink

And anyway , we have new garden sofas arriving today and I have a half day vacation booked so I can fix them up now and I know there was zero chance of that happening if the BMW was delivered

So brownie points with Mrs LS and a happy home instead of me turning up red eyed and buzzing with adrenaline at 2330 tonight rofl

Maybe this is a conspiracy and your missus hid the part from Audi.

"Ha, ha, I know how to get that husband of mine to set up the garden sofas, ha, ha,"

I wouldn't worry. A day without the car will be the least of your worries once that N54 starts imploding.

rofl

Actually She is looking forward to getting the BMW but I would never discount the conspiracy possibility Smuler

And yes if she had a choise between garden furniture erected and a 335i I know which would take preference hehe

Any way I can go through the sweet torture of waiting again tomorrow all over again hehe
