Hi all,

Finally made an account after viewing out if interest for many years now,

I am looking to get a 330d saloon m Sport with extras of xenons, front heated seats and electric mirrors and arm rest but removing this.

I have been quoted 5k deposit, then monthly payments of £324 for 48 months with a price at end of 14k

I was wondering what you guys thoight on this?
I am coming from a 04 plate seat Leon Cupra r which I tbh am bored off.

Have been told the lights are a must.

CAn anyone offer advice ?

Best time to buy etc, good deal ?
Thanks

That seems rather good to me. I have a 330d touring M-Sport with Professional Nav, Upgraded leather, Vis Pack, Heated Seats, Folding Mirrors, Folding Headrests and Harmon Kardon. I put down £16k and pay £294 a month with £12.1k residual. I'm on 20k miles a year though.

Your deal appears to equate to £34.5k for the car including finance which is very good!

Oh and I forgot to say, of all the options I went for there isn't anything I wouldn't selects again, and I would probably add lumbar support next time...

What's the price after discount?

Are you adding the xenons at £700 or the visibility pack at £900 ish? For the extra £200 I'd go for the vis pack as you get the adaptive part of the xenons too in that and they are well worth it.

Just went for xenons but thanks will look into the adaptive.

Do electric mirrors not come as standard then?

That is a good price for the car considering list plus options. You get electric mirrors as standard but not folding mirrors, which is what I paid more for. Seconded that Vis pack is worth the extra money over Xenons only.

I specced the HK sound system on my 430 which is a big improvement over the standard system- if you like your music

I have a very similarly specced 330D MSport in Melborne Red. Only differences are I also have the 19 inch wheels (which look great but I guess aren't essential) and the adoptive suspension which is an absolute MUST! There's plenty of threads on here about the relative merits.

Enjoy - it's a great car.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Do you think it's worth asking the dealer for a PX? Car seems to be going for around 2500 online, just spent 500 hetting through MOT( sick of this car ). Was wondering whether it's worth going through the hassle of selling a car like that privately
Or just ordering asap.

Also I understand there's a order time of 12-14 weeks. If this is the Case do you put deposit down, stRt paying monthly n then 14 weeks down the line get your car, or is it just deposit + PX up front ?

Sorry for the newbie questions.

Ironically seen a nice 335i in White going into work today, parked near me, on way home I had a quick nose, looked as if he had the back windows tinted, is this stock or an extra ? If so looks well worth doing.. Anyone know the price ?

Sounds like he ticked the privacy glass option.

Probably best to go for M Sport Plus Package over Xenon's and privacy glass if that's what you want. The pack includes xenon's, privacy glass H&K audio, 19" alloys and upgraded brakes.

Whilst it's near another £1,000 on top of xenon's, the residual value will be a a bit more and you get a nicer car.

That seems like a good deal, Coast to Coast cars discounted price is higher than that. I assume that 30,186 is before your deposit though?.

No folding mirrors are about £300 (they are also dimming too though as well as folding)

We recently picked up a 320d x drive touring and its a lovely thing, we put vis pack folding mirrors and sun protection glass on (business NAV is standard too now)

I have the M Sport Plus upgrade on my 320D M Sport. You get the 19inch alloys, HK speakers, Zenon lights, headlamp wash, tinted windows and M Sport brakes. I think the upgrade is around £1,900 but good value for what you get, especially if you price the items individually.

The 8 speed automatic with paddle shift is also fantastic but again this is another upgrade.

Hi no the 30 k figure is the total but then the 5.4% makes it equate to just over 34 k

Not to worry you but there is a new engine coming int the new face lifted version in 2 month. Not sure about 330d model though, maybe that will remain the same. I was going for 320d and after reading so much about the timing chain issue i'm now holding off my purchase until the new model comes out.
One page where you can read about the issue:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/BMW-Problem-Timing-...

Just google and you find thousands of hits on this. Its been even on BBC news.

Facelift to be announced later in the year. This will have no impact on current discounts available and this will be the case right up until confirmation of specification and prices of the updated model.

Correct, 330d variants are sport auto only.

Oh okay thanks,

I imagine that the facelift will be closer to the rrp then ? Was shocked when I saw the car many thousands under rrp with discounts.

Not sure what to do now!

Guess the new model will be like the 2 series ie no big help from BMW GB financial wise. My new 330d luxury came in cheaper than a new 225d by £15 a month yet the correct retail price was thousands more

Get adaptive. Essential IMO.
