90% of the time its price which it looks like in your case it is.
Private sellers tend of have a bad habit of doing this (over pricing!), compare your car to what dealers are selling them for, at this price point you need to be around 3k lower.
If your car has double the millage that another car at a dealer has then take a further 1.5k off too.
Your colour combo (black/Black?) is the dullest combo possile (no offense). Black with oyster leather, white with black, white with red would be MUCH MUCH better, its a z4!.
As others have said your advert doesn't help either. Good Luck!
Colour is a personal thing: I think black & black is one of the best. And I find your choices a bit tacky! (No offence!)Private sellers tend of have a bad habit of doing this (over pricing!), compare your car to what dealers are selling them for, at this price point you need to be around 3k lower.

the 23i sdrive I beg to differ about the comparison to the MX5....
The Z is roomier and the 23 has a six cylinder 205hp engine. get the roof down and hoof a 23i and you will see the difference to the MX5. plus the MX5 isnt German.
picked mine up three years ago for 15k. think I could sell it now for 12-13k people want the six for the noise.

I testdrove my 23i more on the basis of wanting a 30i or 35i but checking the car out on how it handled and how comfy it was. After 90min testdrive I formed the opinion that more power wasn't actually going to improve it and the 23i was both torquey enough and a pleasure to rev out. And the sound is glorious when compared with the newer range of 4-pots.
Having come from a 550i a few years back, which was an amazing beast to own, I'm actually more interested in a car I can wring out and enjoy running through the gears than one I have to lift off early from for fear of loosing my license.
Each to their own though.
I did find a 35 a tad fast - and the 23 or 30 was in my range, id looked at a new one i could have got a base for not much more than what I had but trouble is it was basic. and had a tiddly engine.
The 23 is much more usable on our roads - not getting too fast too quickly or blisteringly fast like the 35.
yes its not fast pretty slow 150 mph and hitting sixty in less than 7 seconds, thats just a poor show....
been known to give it the beans in the clyde tunnel thats awesome - you realise just how good a six is. Its part of the experience and I felt the 4 pot was just not there. Oh yes I know you can get a 28 with 260 horse but its a four....

Educate me, the 35i engine in the E89 is the later version so not prone to turbo wastegate, HPFP issues ?
It's both. Started with the N54 twin turbo, later changed to the N55 single turbo.JNW1 said:

Every day's a schoolday. I wonder why it didn't move to N55 with the rest of the E9x platform?Z4 stayed with the N54
Other advantage of the 35i is the DCT box of you want Auto.

No idea why the N54 has been retained in the Z4 either! Undeniably a good engine but not aware it's still being fitted in any other new BMW and you'd have thought it wouldn't make economic sense to keep producing it just for a low volume model like the Z4 - strange!
The Z4 is the last of be Exx cars to still be made and no real sign of ending either that I've heard. Maybe they have entry of engines knocking around and are just running them out without re-engineering the car. honest_delboy said:
The turbos were 'chattering' on my brothers 335i and he was quoted 2.5k by a specialist to get them sorted. Can it be done any cheaper ?
The wastegate actuator rods and wastegates wear but the problem has to be very severe before boost is compromised. There are a huge number of threads online...... "N54 wastegate rattle fix"JonV8V said:

Hardly any wonder it was a slow seller, a 35iS lists at a rather ambitious £47,915 according to BMW UK's website.
