Hi you are probably getting bored of these posts now but this might be a slightly different angle to some of the posts i have read.

So i bought my F31 x drive 320 M sport from park lane in London. I live in Scotland, based in the central belt so they are not exactly local to me. I have the usual corrosion around all four centre caps and it is not pretty. I have had the car 10 months but it is a 63 plate with 44000 miles on it. I recently called the dealer and they told me to bring the car in, i wasn't just nipping the 500 miles down the road to have them look at the wheels so i took it to Eastern BMW in Edinburgh. On inspection they agreed that the corrosion was genuine on the wheels but their hand were tied because they identified that the wheels have been refurbished. Now i have had the car 10 months and no refurbishment has been done by me. I then assumed that a refurb must have been done by park lane in readiness for the sale as when i bought the car the wheels they were in tip top condition. I was unaware of this refurb and therefore assumed that all parts were genuine and approved used BMW since i was buying from a BMW dealer after all. I have had an admittance that this corrosion come from the inside of the hub and eventually works its way to the outer of the wheel usually showing on the centre caps first. So where to i stand now? no one seems to be willing to take responsibility? have i been mis-sold and given the impression that these wheels are genuine BMW but in fact have been refurbished by another third party? Eastern were willing to put a good will through for me until they inspected the wheels and found them to be refurbished so have now sent me packing back to park lane. I am no legal guru but surely something like the consumer rights act and give me some support in this instance? I feel the wool has been pulled over my eyes and no one is willing to help. I just don't understand as there are seemingly endless examples of poor quality BMW wheels out there. Any advice would be much appreciated.
