Went out for drive last night and the Z4 overheated. First time anything has ever gone wrong. Shut the car down immediately and rang the RAC for a tow back home. Top hose was hot and bottom was cold after waiting for a while for it to come down to a normal temperature.
Does this sound like a closed thermostat or is it the water pump? Or something else entirely?
Going into the dealer's tomorrow for an inspection and the work to fix once diagnosed.
Oh, and it's a Z4 Coupe 3.0si.
