8,000 miles and wanting a diesel? Go petrol
This whole mileage dictating your engine choice is carp.
If i spent all my car time buzzing up and down the motorway, whether that was 5k miles a year or 30k miles a year, i'd be buying something torquey with an auto 'box on it. In the current 3 series range, that'd be a 335d.
If i spent all my time in town, i'd buy something nimble and with a petrol engine, simply because modern diesels and DPFs just don't seem to function well in purely urban use.
Don't you get bored of winding people up? It seems to be your raison d'etre.

Irrespective, i'm pretty sure the OP said he needed 12k miles a year.

Perhaps I should have added '..on the BMW website.'

Yes I stated 12k miles per year - seems about what I do currently in my Audi A4. I've spoken to Gateway2Lease - they were good but couldn't beat other offers.

The best i've had so far is actually better than Scott at Central Car Leasing - £559 p/m for a 335d on a 3+35 payment plan inclusive of all maintenance. Scott came up at £551 but this was on a 2 year lease and his 3 year was a lot more expensive - 2 years is too short imo.

I'm about to sign to be honest as I think i'll struggle to beat this - this is for the new facelift model too with all my options.

I'm going to ask for a deal sweetener or closer to £550 just to make me sign on the dotted line.

Companies i've got quotes off so far are -

Gateway2Lease
Select Contracts
LeasePlanGo
Synergy Automotive (cheapest)
Central Car Leasing
Freedom Contracts
Cameron Clark Leasing

and more who were way out!

I'm fairly sure the 335i is torquey too - this is all about giving OP options he might have overlooked it maybe not but it's a genuine option I'm sure OP is man enough to investigate and discard if not suitable for his needs.
Tinternet is all about challenge and debate and suggestions & 95% porn apparently.

Well folks thanks for all your help.

Pretty much set on signing for the lease today - got it at a final price of £564 but that includes the Ferric grey wheels which I specced as an extra.

That is with all maintenance including tyres on 12k miles and 3+35. BMW said they could try to get to £550 but that would be on 48 month PCP - no thanks!

Just checking a few final things - the car comes with business nav which I think will be ok for me - do you need the enhanced Bluetooth though to stream audio from your phone? As this is one feature I definitely need!

As I understand it

Full simultaneous pairing of 2x mobile phones but only with Pro Nav (609)
Office functions is SMS email calendar etc
Voice control
Telephone USB interface (former 6NF)
Preparation plate for snap in adaptor (adaptor purchase seperate)
Display of album cover
Bluetooth audio streaming over Aux in
View contact photos from address book of mobile phone
Reply to SMS via voice control

Also according to BMW website enhanced Bluetooth will strengthen your phone signal by using roof fin to pick up cell signal you don't get that without.

Biggest difference is non enhanced BTooth means you have to use aux in or a USB

You will also have control over your iPhone through the Nav interface though layout is different

You will also be able to use the MyBMW remote app with BMW assist - find your car, turn on air con, lock unlock sound horn flash headlights.

Hope that helps. All good stuff to make your life a little easier - if your fine with cables or USB or download to the HD then happy days you don't need it. I find it useful phone somewhere in car can hop into my phone albums and choose albums and tracks via the Nav over plugging in and scrolling through phone. It cannot cost that much more though on the monthlies?

Id like to speak to you about this. I am literally looking to purchase pretty much the exact same car (slight edit to spec), but I cannot get my price down anywhere near this. I tried dropping you a PM but you dont accept emails - drop us an email if you could...

Cheers.

Seem to still be some great offers on new model 335d Touring which I'm looking at.

E.g Nationwide

335d Touring 3+23 8k miles, £290 exc VAT, £349 inc

http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/BMW_to...

What I'm not sure about are the options as you can't yet spec the new model on the bmw uk site. I want to make sure I get pro nav.

Yeah some really good deals about at the mo. I do about 15k miles a year and just pulled the trigger on a 335d LCI touring 6+23 385 per month inc VAT. I was happy with that. Can't wait for delivery!

All BMW's except the Z4 and X1 come standard with Bluetooth Audio functionality now. So you can stream your music without enhanced bluetooth.
