TBH when the adrenaline kicked in i wasn't even thinking about what was behind me and I could have easily run them over if they were in the way. I wouldn't have wanted any more damage or blood on the car!

As I said before there was a lot of luck involved in getting away.

Crime in the Midlands appears to be at the point of running out of control.

It's a potential issue and one where I think the government has got it wrong with the cuts, I'm all for ending the war on the motorist but I can't help but feel that we need more police out there looking for and responding to real crime than we have at the moment.

I didn't mean "self defence" as in have a go at them, it was a comment around if you had run one of them over as was suggested earlier in an attempt to get away, in that "self defence" would have/could have been used as a defence in court.

Good to see you're taking it well!
I suspect if the resultant injuries were minor, you'd hear nothing more from the victim.

Sad story OP - just glad you kept your car, and I hope the damage is limited.

But why do we have to put up with this sort of nonsense in the first place?

Too many people with too little to do maybe?
