ha, just to clarify, the questions wasn't can I afford to, rather how much extra of my hard earned cash would it consume.

Quick calculation would suggest it will cost me between £1.2K and £1.5K extra to fuel to swap from my current car to use an M135I.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

My mpg figures range dramatically.

Driving on rural A-roads with their new 50 limits and with a bit of dual carriageway thrown in, last weekend I managed 31mpg over around 40 miles.

My overall average in 4.5k is 23.7 mpg.

My usual mpg when driving to work (b-roads, lots of acceleration and braking) or picking up my son from nursery in traffic is in the region of 19.5 mpg.
