F31 - interior leathers
Discussion
Been looking for my first bmw for a month or so..
Anyhow seen a M-Sport a few years old from BMW, has a ton of options the only thing is the Coral Red Dakota Leather seats, would prefer black. I like them they are different not your usual black but other half thinks they are loud! which is making me think...i wouldnt buy if they were light color as we have 2 kids. Does the colour of the leathers impact resale value in the future..
thanks

The second photo is probably a better rendering of the true colour. People say that this is hard to keep clean, but I've had no problems. I did budget for a replacement set of floor mats after a couple of winters, but actually, I've been able to clean these up using home carpet cleaner.
I had grown tired of my previous Audi's all-black interior, with piano black, black leather and black headlining plus privacy glass. Nice in the summer but gloomy in the winter. But beige is not everyone's cup of tea, I daresay ...
I'm really glad that I went for the sunroof. It makes the whole interior much more airy especially in the winter. The glass is thermal and there's a cover, so in the summer the heat gain isn't significant.

Looks quite good in the pictures. I feared the worst when reading "beige" and "burr walnut" but it changes the interior quite a bit.http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q623/msej449/B...

Yes, beige isn't a common BMW choice but it works for me and rear passengers like the lighter interior. Here's a shot of it with my MTB in, on a mat from a previous estate car. There are more tailored mats available specifically for the F31, If you get one, make sure it has the flap that goes over the rear sill/bumper.

My E90 came with Syrah Blue leather.
I wasn't too keen on the colour as I wanted Oyster or Champagne colour but now I love it because it's so different. It's also the individual Merino leather which is lovely and soft.
A colleague has the terracotta colour leather in his black 1er and it looks amazing
