Thanks for all the replies especially from the 6 owners, I understand some people done get why I'd like a manual but I'm still hoping I can find one when I'm ready to change cars. My z4 coupe si isnt the smoothest in stop start traffic but I'm so glad it's a manual when I'm out on the open road where I spend most of my time driving.
Good luck hunting. Im sure you will enjoy it either way, they are great cars!sorry clicked send to quick.
I would also encourage you to try an auto 6 before commiting. In my view it really suits the V8 which is a cruiser then sports car (not sports car that can cruise) - in my opinion. I also do more motorway and town driving so not really on the sort of roads for a manual.
I have only owned my 650i for two months but have covered a couple of thousand miles and love it. Hope you join the V8 club soon.
