That 550i sold pretty quickly then.
A supposedly way overpriced undesirable to Joe Q motor has instead sold inside a fortnight.
Pictures now up. I see the blue 2010 saloon has now sold also (it was a 550iSE at an independent but had high miles). I'm not sure what exact colour it was but seemed lighter than mine.
That E60 is still there knocking on the door of 19k. Lovely looking car, mind.

Even I will concede that E60 is insane. Absolutely bonkers, will never sell at that price. I'd say it's a 12/13k car at most and only by virtue of the mileage. Edited by texasjohn on Thursday 23 July 22:08

Why on earth have you taken photos outside Kwik Fit? I'm intrigued to see that your fuel consumption swingometer works in the opposite direction to mine, too; wonder if they changed that when they added stop/start and EcoPro mode?hornetrider said:

Its quite funny because so many PHers get very indignant about diesel cars, and how hard it is to get, say a really good petrol BMW these days, then when one comes up you get "oh no no no, not worth that mate"

Yeah exactly. Most folks were wading in with 'far too expensive' however some of us thought why not and maybe it was on the money for miles and spec.

It may have sold quickly but you don't know what it sold for (unless of course it was you who bought it!). I agree a quick sale may suggest the dealer got somewhere close to the advertised price but it's also possible that someone offered several thousand less and the dealer took it on the basis they were still making a margin and didn't want the risk of the car sitting on their forecourt for ages awaiting a niche buyer? If someone agreed a deal at the advertised price I'd say they paid top dollar but that still doesn't mean they were wrong; like houses, cars are worth what people are prepared to pay and if someone out there thought that F11 550i was worth early £30k's then it was!A supposedly way overpriced undesirable to Joe Q motor has instead sold inside a fortnight.

Did it sell for the advertised price?
Did I say it did? My entire point that the asking price was not unreasonable. Others seemed to disagree. The car has now sold, and the new owner is a lucky so-and-so.I reckon they *may* have squeezed a grand off a main dealer to have agreed a sale in a week. But they'd have been doing very well. What do you reckon?

I reckon the buyer could have squeezed £2k off, but even if they did it still wasn't overpriced.I reckon they *may* have squeezed a grand off a main dealer to have agreed a sale in a week. But they'd have been doing very well. What do you reckon?

Given all the time it was advertised for, its certain they didnt firesale it and knock thousands off.Generally main dealers need to have a car 3+ months before they'll think of knocking big chunks off.
