BMW auc warranty problem
Discussion
Update - the dealer customer service manager made another request to BMW, possibly via his regional manager, after I wrote a detailed email expressing my dissatisfaction, and they have now agreed to meet all the costs and carry out the repair.

To add my tuppence worth... I purchased a comprehensive BMW Insured Warrant from Allianz/Mondial with £100 XS for my 2004 645Ci with 55,000 miles.
They have so far replaced the rocker cover gasket, o/s wheel bearing, reset the idrive (useless), replaced the boot struts which failed to spring up and pop the boot open.
They didn't replace the indicator stalk - the check button was loose and buzzed irritatingly whilst driving. Eventually, I complained and they covered the cost of the part and I paid for the labour.
To date, Cooper Cobham have been helpful and I would say that the £931 that I paid for the lapsed policy (and the excellent BMW Emergency Cover) has been extremely cost effective and worthwhile.
