We recently bought a '99 Z3 1.9 which is in really good nick but just needs bits and pieces replacing in the interior, namely the gear stick top, silver door strips and door speaker covers. Can you recommend me a good site for genuine BMW spares? Ebay keeps throwing up these kind of abominations: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leather-Crystal-Gear-Sti...

Cheers

join the forum over here https://zroadster.org/forums/ loads of people with Z3/4 to help.

best bet is to also look to the dozens of Z3's being broken on eBay and get a genuine second hand part

or ask your local BMW dealer, they might be more reasonable than you think

My wife has a mint Z3 (30,000 miles) the best place on ebay is a guy in Lithuania, he's supplied loads of bits, I was put onto him by a mate who has an E30 M3 and he has also done bits for my mates X5, I understand that breaking cars is easier in Lithuania and he buys in from Germany, done all sorts of bits for the wife's car, last was the aerial base, I couldn't believe how complicated the bloody radio aerial was, did me a replacement OBC and other bits.
