Love that. Shame it has the standard dakota leather and no heating for the seats, otherwise it's a reasonable spec. Lack of panoramic roof probably means it's not leaked into the electronics. Wonder what suspension option it's on?

It looks nice but I don't think they're the comfort seats, they normally come with the extra buttons, and you'd definitely spec heated!

Very reasonable price though imo.

Description says lci headlights. Can these be fitted to an early career?

They're definitely comfort seats - the front extending squab shape gives it away despite the limited photos.

As for LCI headlights, they just like the normal adaptive xenons; I think he's suggesting that the LCI got similar looking lights rather than them being retro-fitted. Look identical to my old 2004 lights.

Agree. The thigh support bit isn't a sport seat as it's angled. Therefore it's comfort.

And I also agree about the lights. Think he is saying they are xenons 'like lci'.

Those are also my favourite E60 18" wheels. Was never a fan of the sport wheels.

It's already £1000 less on the dealer's own website than it is on Auto Trader hehe

ETA: and with the registration being revealed on the dealer's site I've been able to check the spec; it's not actually low at all:

Panoramic sunroof
Comfort seats with cooling and heating (Nasca leather - not as nice as Exclusive Nappa, but nicer than Dakota - shame it's beige though)
Soft close doors
Lane departure warning
Hifi speaker upgrade (not Logic7 sadly)
Adaptive lights
Pro Media with BMW Online
Automatic boot
Sport auto gearbox (i.e. steering wheel paddles)

So I went to see this vehicle. Apart from wheels being refurbed, it had not been prepped - would need a thorough detailing and some internal and external trim replacing to get it up to a nice standard.

Having said that, it seemed a very well-maintained car mechanically, with nearly new tyres and discs and a glovebox that revealed a bunch of receipts from main dealers and specialists for servicing & repairs (including wiring loom for the boot). It was my first time driving a 550i and thought it drove very nicely, I was impressed by the speed and smoothness of the gearbox in particular, and it certainly felt very quick. Steering was lighter than I expected and didn't seem the quickest rack in the world, but steered true and straight. And those comfort seats are amazing! Not experienced them before but I loved the combination of comfort and support and the ventilation was quite effective. The Nasca leather is not the most supple or soft to the touch but gave the impression of being very durable.

So all in all, pretty good. Only issue is that it seems that £13,950 is the correct price (listed as £12,950 on the dealer site originally) and in fact it is only available with a 3 month warranty (not 2 years as originally stated on the Autotrader ad). Which seems a bit rich to me, even for a rare car with a nice spec.

I'd agree - had it in my first 545i and while the cooling was effective on a warm day, I'd rather have the nicer exclusive nappa leather (with the mock-croc grain on the upper backrest and thigh squab) and sacrifice the ventilation.

If you're thinking of doing this - do it.

I had an F30 with passive dampers and 19 inch run flats. I then switched to 17 inch Winter Go Flats and the difference in ride, noise and every other measurement was unbelievable. See here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

ATM - Just how many wheels do you have???

I'm still on my winters... Don't think I'll be swapping as I can't see the car staying with us more than another year (he says now).

When i bought my E61 it had 17" wheels and drove really nice and smooth. I fitted some 18" MV2s with 40 profile tyres and lost all of that, even on SE suspension.
Have had 2 of them crack even though i don't have runflats fitted.

Great price if the car is a goodun!

Have we seen a softening in prices of late? Feel like they were a lot more last year?

Mine is still going strong(ish) - Just nothing much to report at the moment!
