Done pal. So rare to see an E61 550i in the wild, thought I'd have a punt and check if it belonged to anybody here! When I first parked up there was an E61 520d, when I returned to add a few extra hours this monster was there. biggrin

It seems none at all. It's the car's way of telling me to get off autotrader and ebay and stop looking at the 760Li's out there

What can they do for that? New liner? Not having luck at all... :-(

I can see the appeal of a 760, E65? I'm just not too keen as they're all lwb

Will have to speak to them tomorrow. Don't want a huge bill on top of the huge bill I will get, because as far as I am concerned they should have noticed when they had the heads off 1st time around. Don't want to pay for heads off twice. Happy to pay parts and for the work done, but not to repeat work already done as they didn't bother to check things properly.

Is this something that's come to light since having your valve seals done? What are the symptoms you're getting for this issue? The cynic in me can't help but think they may of done something or managed to drop something into the cylinder when the heads were off for the initial job!

Either way, good luck and keep us posted.

Sorry to hear, Smashie! They ought to have spotted that before frown

Should have left a note on that 550i Touring telling him (or her) to join up here biggrin

Frankly I'm amazed that a 550i Touring exists and the owner isn't here. I thought they'd all been hoovered up now hehe

Relatively local to me... (well, less than an hour)... Wonder how many miles on it etc.

Love that colour - looks a good one smile

Oh no. So it's only come to light after everything was put back together.

Yeah it is nice. Is that an LCI Space Grey?

Must admit my favourite touring colour is Imola cloud9

But they all seem to be 520Ds.

Second favourite is Interlagos lick

Looks like Silver Grey to me the same as mine, it's a pre LCI, I'm pretty certain Space Grey wasn't available then.

Agree with the Imola Red, I love it.. If could of chosen I'd of had black but in hindsight I think the grey suits them better.

Is it Silver Grey? My eyes must be getting shoddy as it looks darker than mine hehe

Honestly, I thought it was more of a titanium grey shade - very close to the stratus grey of my 6er. Not sure if that's correct mind!

I think mine just looks the same as that in dull light, unless it's my eyes!

There wasn't another grey available unless it was an individual option, wish there was another way of finding the VIN!

I've had good news today anyway, straight through MOT with no advisories.

That's quite a nice wheel comparison, I don't really think the spiders look better on the Tourings. No worse, but no better!

Think ill keep my 18's and cheaper tyres, spend the difference on an exhaust of some description.
