Love that colour - looks a good one smile
Yeah it is nice. Is that an LCI Space Grey?

Must admit my favourite touring colour is Imola cloud9

But they all seem to be 520Ds.

Second favourite is Interlagos lick

That's quite a nice wheel comparison, I don't really think the spiders look better on the Tourings. No worse, but no better!

Think ill keep my 18's and cheaper tyres, spend the difference on an exhaust of some description.
Have you switched to go flats?

Not yet. When I got the car it had 4x brand new Goodyear runflats, I'm loathed to just bin them. I'm doing my best to burn through them, I've done around 5k and the backs are probably on around 3mm.

When the backs need doing I'll change the lot to non run flat Pilot Supersports and try flog the still decent fronts on eBay.

That was for sale about a year ago for a similar price and sold quick, it re-appeared about 2 weeks later with every panel down the N/S damaged and was up at around 3k, obviously a good price if you've the means to fix it yourself. Not seen it since so the seller could be the guy who fixed it up??

Worth bearing in mind...

Still, not dog friendly and I don't really like silver

Don't think we've had this one on here?

http://anym.co.uk/classified/36178-bmw-5-series-545i-se-touring

With very desirable (by me anyway) power tailgate and comfort seats. Wise use of black mats to break up Granddad interior colour. Standard nav and I'd assume audio unfortunately.

Looks familiar to me, did we discuss this one a few pages ago?

I thought all the previous ones we'd had were higher mileage. Think this may be new to the thread.

At 74k and just shy of £7k (maybe a bit less with a haggle) - This could be a good buy if it's sound.

I paid £6,600 for my 74k car about 4 or 5 months ago, if anyone wants to use that as a reference.

Mine was from a dealer, though he didn't bother prepping it straight from auction (not that it bothered me).

Immediately put off by the fact it's been driven up that kerb on to the pavement for no material reason... Oh and a third pedal on a V8 wafter!

This was advertised a few weeks ago (on Autotrader?) and then disappeared. I wonder why it has come back only on anyM, can't be too desperate to sell surely? Yes the standard Audio and Nav is a bit of a shame otherwise I might have been beetling along there pronto. If it is anything like my 2008 model upgrading the audio is a royal PITA, I wasn't over impressed with the Logic 7 Pro Hi-Fi as it is and looked into it.

BTW Dom9 it was great to meet you on Sunday and thanks for the ride in your beast. You have a nice increase in the growly V8 coming out of your exhaust. And glad we got your other car sorted while I was there as well! Did you have any luck with the replacement battery?

Hi Jez - My pleasure! Would have been at a bit of a loss without you and the jump leads! I sent 'my girl' at Renault an email asking what the deal is with swapping the battery out under warranty but I haven't heard back from her. Might swing round there, later. My siblings quad bike was delivered (in parts) last night so it'll be another weekend in the garage, this weekend.

Thought you might be interested in that 545i. If it's good, and with a bit of a haggle, it could be a good stop-gap with limited depreciation until you find something else?!

2 X new ones here...

545i SE.. Reasonably priced for miles, just have to be able to cope with grey leather!

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

545i M Sport.. Think this is only the 2nd I've ever seen, wheels need redoing in silver

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

I really wish mine had that aluminium interior trim, really brightens inside up.

Reckon there is value in the first one but with those miles, the second one is wandering into 550i territory, don't we think?

Nah. Decent value, looks in good nick, Sport rather than grandad SE... well worth it.

I think it's fairly priced, I think it'll sell quick just because it's the Touring (and the 550 Touring being as rare potentially means you can't be too fussy) the 545 Saloons seem to be slow burners.

As said, looks well looked after, the wheels although not my taste colour wise, they're the correct fitment for a touring and they're wrapped in matching Goodyears - always a good sign and one the first things I look at.

You meant "the connoisseur's choice" SE!

I don't know... we saw a 550i go to a threadist for that sort of money...

I'm the last person to talk down 545i Touring prices biggrin
