2011 F11 - boot won't open

Edit - diamond button does nothing at all But I read the manual - have you got a button to close the boot? I have to do it the old fashioned way. That could be the difference?

I didn't spot your update because the thread didn't show as updated - wondered if you were locked in the boot!

I'll have to check exactly what does what on my car but I can confirm it does have a button to close the boot, in the bottom of the boot door. I had assumed all F11s had electric boots but maybe I'm not correct; is yours not electrically opening/closing? That would certainly explain the difference.

I think I must be one of the very few that doesn't - but it had loads of other extras that were too good to turn down, so I decided that I could easily live without it.

I guess that's that mystery solved!

Well I took the world's most boring photo so I'm damned if I'm not going to post it, even if the mystery is solved!



As I recall, the boot button at least used to unlatch the boot (when held down for a couple of seconds) even if it didn't electrically open it. Not sure if it might still do that on the F11?
