e92 BMW 330d manual Odd Clutch Slip?
Discussion
Hello, advice needed please!
I have an e92 330d manual, remapped with DPF delete, 130k, no idea when the clutch was last changed. The slip is peculiar and not something I have seen before with other cars when the clutch was on its way.
This doesn't happen often, I have only seen this twice now and both times when accelerating from low revs in 3rd gear.. When the needle gets to 3k it suddenly swings up to about 3.5k (as if you pressed the clutch) and then drops back down to 3.25k and continues up as if nothing has happened. Could this be due to the torque trailing off at higher revs and thus reducing the load on the clutch?
If this is a tell tale sign of my clutch on its way out, is there an uprated clutch that is a popular fitment for these cars? Is it also sensible to replace the DMF at the same time?
