after 126,000 pain free miles its finally starting to die on me.

The Clutch is slipping and it just randomly comes out of gear. And its running really rough and just doesn't feel its self went from 52mpg to 40mpg .

And now its decided to lock me in the car then lock me out and had to be jumped this morning after the boot failed last night and it left the interior lights on over night.

So mechanical and electrical gremlins are at work can I put frozen sausages in there lawn?

also just realised I can not spell for st this morning!

You were kind of correct. The battery did need replacing but it was the boot catch what had destroyed its self and needed replaced apparently a common fault and its been redesigned by BMW. When it had destroyed its self it had snapped a wire and was causing a short in the electrical circuit hence why it was locking and unlocking its self as it was confused to whether it was open or shut.

Fry an Egg?
