Guys, what's the problem with the rear window wiper? Is it typically a new motor being needed?
Its a rubbish design with the rear washer fluid passing through the motor. The seal fails, fill the isnide with water, rust, the linkage seizes and the motor strips the main plastic wheel of its teeth. So the motor works as normal but isn't engaging the main wheel to turn the wiper.
Some get lucky and find the linkage has seized but not stripped the wheel, so a clean up is all thats needed. You will need to seal the unit again though to stop a repeat.
It takes about ten mins to get the motor out, so have a look and pull the cover off the motor and see what you have inside.

Well spotted! Almost impossible to find the way its been listed.

After selling my cheap £900 325ti to my sister and getting a golf R delivered (cheap lease), I decided i missed the TI.

so i now have a 2012 320d, a new golf R and as far as i can tell the only white 325ti m sport in the country.

Need to do a bit of fleet shuffling me thinks.
Is that the one with the sunroof that did a stint over Norfolk way?

I was also going to ask this. Think it made an appearance in the thread earlier...

There was a white manual sport for sale maybe 18 months or so a go - IIRC it had all the windows tinted and I think the alloys were black. I had a cursory glance at another white one that was on eBay recently but didn't take the time to identify if it was the same one.

I think they look quite good in Alpine white.

it popped up on my search last week

Looks like bidding has ended - pretty sure from the reg it was the same one in white

I remember it because I was after a white one with sunroof ages back and they rarely came up.

I've seen about 3 white ones at one stage or another

I can confirm this is the same Norfolk car.
In fact i inboxed the previous owner via pistonheads after a quick google search to get a rough history on the car before placing a bid.

Im intrigued that there is possibly another 2 floating around, google only brings this and 1 other foreign one up and the previous owner thought it maybe the case of this being the solo white one in the UK. Another 318ti was sprayed white that i know of but would be hood to get conformation.

Either way i Certainly can't see me bumping into another one.

On another note, did anyone see this update from one of the PH staff re the running report on his Clio 182?

the appeal of nice interior, beautiful noise and rear wheel drive means a BMW 325ti will be joining the Clio
Be interesting to see if he gets one

Myself and a friend of mine track our 325ti. It's bloody brilliant fun. We have fitted HSD coilovers, currently running yellowstuff pads with Gulf RF1000 brake fluid. Some wider OE BMW 16" rims with Nankang NS2-R tyres. All you need to really hassle some much more expensive machinery out on track! There are some pictures a few pages back if you read through this thread. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The 325ti has one of the most stout ARBs of the E46. I think only the M3 convertible has a thicker one.

I must be sad - I put winter wheels and tyres on my 325ti Sport today.rolleyes

And the wheels look lost in the arches! Still with this weather that may be a good idea. laugh

Oh right I didnt realise that...arb's was going to be first on shopping list because of body roll.
Best get saving for decent coilovers then.

To be honest , it's worth setting aside a few moments to read all this thread through as a lot of the 'unique' features of the 325ti are mentioned in here i.e. FARB diameter, diff ratio, guibo etc
