Given the number of Series BMW now produce = and the number of model derivatives within each of those Series - it's probably unfair to expect a salesman to know every last detail about every model. However, the fact all 3-Series X-Drives come with SE suspension as standard even when you order an M-Sport model strikes me as quite basic knowledge and hence it's something I'd expect a clued-up salesman (and certainly a Product Genius) to be aware of.....

I didn't say they were clued-up (although in fairness I'm sure some of them are!) but I'd expect one that was to know the basics about each model range (and SE suspension being standard on all X-Drives is basic IMO). However, while you're right it's only one marque, with the number of different models and trim levels I don't think it's reasonable to expect even a clued-up salesman to know what's standard and optional on every derivative; don't think I could remember all that although with the onset of middle age I have to confess my memory isn't quite what it used to be!

Hi all. I'm a newbee to this forum. I'm just about to bite the bullet on ordering a new 335d touring. I've specced up as follows:

mybmw.co.uk/s9o0r2b0

I popped in to my dealer and he's now come back with a pcp quote giving a GFV of just £15,393! Who out there is giving sensible deals at the moment? His GFV is just 32%.

I once enquired about a 320d ED knowing full well they could be ordered with Normal tyres, ended up walking out in frustration

Awesome spec, pretty much how I'd spec mine, all the important options ticked. Looking at Broadspeed you can achieve a discount of £9782. So almost a £38k for you. Having a lower GFV isn't always a bad thing as it means you should have decent cash\capital in it after 3 years.

Cheers. I've contacted Broadspeed and I'm awaiting a call back to discuss PCP, trade in etc.

Keen to get the order in ASAP as I've been without a practical car since March. I had a LR Defender Adventure Edition on order since January but cancelled about three weeks ago once I'd realised that my head (finally) overruled my heart!

Let me know what they say. Worth confirming if that discounted price gives you a pre or post facelift.

If you can spec the car as you want it surely by definition it must be the new (post-facelift) model?

Just about to pull the trigger with Coast2Coast. Came in about £800 less than Broadspeed and a better GFV on the PCP.

Had been speaking to Broadspeed.com, but just ran the same spec (as far as I can see) and it's £936 cheaper smile

Doesn't Broadspeed include a discount to take PCP - were as coast2coast you can extra discount if you take it? I would get detailed quotes from both

Now spoken to both after C2C called after the above quote. They both include the £1800(ish) PCP contribution from BMW, can add that back on if a cash buyer.

Not sure how Coast2Coast work but if they put you in touch with a BMW dealer who then supplies the car via BMW finance I don't understand how the GFV can be different from that offered through Broadspeed assuming all the other details (annual mileage, term of agreement, etc) are the same. My understanding is that GFV's are set by BMW and cannot be changed by individual dealers.....

Does anyone know if you can download speed camera locations to the satnav like you can on the Range Rover Sport?

Happy days! Give Gordon a call at coast2coast. He'll assist you with what you need.
