Was toying with a Boxster but so much negative crap regard the immediate shaft bearings and bore score, I going to look at the 3.0 si. I have found what looks like a real nice one 08 with 54k miles full BMW service history new discs pads in May new rear tyres fronts are good. he is looking for 10k. Its the right colour for me which is a bonus. I will only be doing 3k miles a year as its a weekend car. What's the general concensus.

It ain't that green one is it? Hands off! biggrin

... Having come from a 3.0i I've not heard any major negatives around the SI variant but of course, investigate the hood motor (if it is the roadster I was looking at??!)

Update if you buy it, please.

It's not the green one. The hood motor was replaced on this one in 2013

Went to see it fantastic car in concourse condition with nothing to do for at least 12 months then should just be an oil change. The overall look and condition was a sight to behold. It drove like a bullet bags of power oh and that straight six sound. All the paperwork from the two previous owners was all there just shows that the car as been looked after. Roll on next weekend when I pick it up

Maybe a touch over-priced, we paid just over £9k 18 months ago for an 06 3.0si with 32k on it at the time. Grey with red leather, maybe the seat colour kept the price down as it's a bit marmite

Sounds like you found a good one.thumbup

They do sound great when you give them a bit of loud pedal - they have a sound generator and many owners have removed some or all of the foam for a bit more volume!

Hope the week doesn't drag too badly!

Look forward to some photos.

Maybe a little over priced but worth it IMHO. The car was immaculate in every way.
