So by now after a weekend of road trips have you bought a car or does the search continue?
Unfortunately not. Other things popped up, buying and moving into a new house at the same time as buying a new car maybe wasn't the best idea...

Did see a 330i today though but it was a coupe and after seeing it think I'll stick to a saloon. The guy also claimed to have a new water pump etc but no receipts to prove it...hmmm

Ah well next weekend I've already got it all mapped out to see one car after the other so onto next weekend!

I'm sure I'll update when I finally have my E90! Who knows maybe another bargain will pop up!

Looking on autotrader think I am going for an M sport now as well as the other guy that commented, such good looking motors! Only thing concerning is the mileage that some of these have. Is spending 6k on a 100k mile car a good idea? Considering I'll be keeping it for 5/6 years. Everyone is saying the engine is bullet proof guess I just have to make sure it been serviced regularly etc?

the manual 330i feels really good, really suits the car. the autobox is also pretty good though, but i preferred the manual. They are a lot rarer though.

The msport is more than just seats, wheels and suspension. The setering wheel is a lot nicer, it has a factory fitted short shifter on the manual and although this not my be a biggie, you get the black roof lining which i much prefer. i brelieve you also get bigger brakes on the msport, but dont quote me on that
Yeah I think the M sport is the way to go. Is the M sport worth spending 6k on with 97k miles on the clock compared to an SE with 60k miles though?

For me the sports seats/suspension make the M Sport the only choice. Seats, primarily. If these are not essential for you, then no way, go for the lower mileage.
Thanks, it does make sense. Think I'll arrange a text drive for an M sport and SE and see what I prefer.

Oh how I wish we had bargains like that down south! Think I will just go for the M-Sport, don't mind the 90k miles if it been regular serviced etc may see if I can bump the price down as well.

So this car just popped up, however a little wary with what been done, looks like they done the exhaust unless you can buy them like this standard? Is best to avoid modified BMW's?

You might be able to find that car on one of the E90 forums, worth posting and asking, they'll be able to tell you all about it then

Thanks good idea didn't realise there was a forum dedicated to e90's! Which will be good when I finally get one.

Won't let me post a new topic at the moment guessing because I'm a newbie so will try a bit later.

How did the car hunt go?
Didn't get a chance to go see the cars I wanted as my mate was working. However thought I'd still go test drive a couple cars to get a feel for them even thought I didn't want these models.

Tested a 325i SE and M-Sport and 330i SE, and I can assure you that i will 100% be going M Sport even though I only tried the 325i version. The drive felt alot more comfortable and the seats were exactly what everyone been saying, very nice drive. The SE was a nice drive at first but doesn't compare to the M Sport. As well as the M Sport being such a better looking car.

Didn't notice that much of a difference between 325i and the 330i in terms of speed, maybe a bit on the mark, but i guess that because I didn't drive the 330i M Sport.

Going to spend the next couple days now seeing what M Sport I want to go see and my mate has the day off ready to go for a car hunt at the weekend, I've had enough of buses and getting lifts, want to get back into a car!

Morning all!

Got a couple cars lined up for this weekend. After speaking to my insurance company looks like I can only go for the 325i, they seem to want quite a bit for a 330i.

Two options

Both lovely cars, both same kind of spec, I'm guessing I should be looking at the Newer Car?

Also saw a nice coupe, just wondered if anyone has a 3 Series Coupe as well as kids and if it a problem or not?

Links aren't working for me for some reason, regards the Coupe I have had two E90 saloons and a E92 M3 Coupe and I personally prefer the looks of the Coupe and they come with folding rear seats as standard whereas the saloon its a rare option.

So I actually thought the Coupe was more practical and better for carrying stuff and it didn't bother me moving the seat forward to put my daughter in the back although admitted it is slightly quicker with 4 doors but for me the 2 door car looks so much more sporty.

Although I have had two saloons the Coupe wins for me, plus they also come with xenons as standard whereas its an option on the saloon.
Here is the Link to the 2 cars

Morning guys,

Just thought I'd update you!

I finally have my BMW

After viewing a few decided to go for the e 325i Black Coupe, the spec was just too good to miss!. 60k miles on the clock and FSH being done every couple years shows it been looked after. The leather is immaculate as well which is a bonus as a couple a i saw where showing to be worn.

Glad to finally being part of the club and look forward to making the car my own, thank you for all the help guys!
