Each to their own, but every day I am thrilled to have a manual E46 with M54 petrol Inline6.

Only thing better is my Z4C with N52 Inline6 and manual box - twitch of 2 feet and you can drive them as they were designed to be driven (unless you only have 1 working leg, in which case you have my deepest sympathy as my father spent over 12 years in that situation).

But auto is not for me, at least until I only have 1 leg that moves!
