W e46 shark fin

Hi hope someone can help. My garage door came down today and knocked off my magnetic shark fin and pulled wire from rear the window rubber. I was lucky but can't seem to get cable back in behind rubber, was tempted to chop it off but didn't know what might happen or even if this was a good option hence my post. Gary

Ps I've no sat nav but looks as my car had a phone from new as it has its own place on arm rest.

Shark fin is for phone, not GPS as far as I know. Have you tried giving it a pull from the interior to try and bring the cable back inside?

Sorry to hear of your trauma OP, but it has been pretty windy today!

As the previous poster has said the shark fin is fitted to E46s for Bluetooth - my nephew has a 325ti with Bluetooth and no Sat Nav, but it has the fin. He doesn't use it as it seems you need an expensive software upgrade to use anything like an iphone!

Just wondering if that's the case what could be the result me chopping off cable,as I tried as much as u could to get it back behind rubber .now I've 24" of hanging cable that runs down the back window glass ? Don't want more issues ?
